A Universe Not Made for Us

Carl Sagan was born on November 9, 1934.  This year would have marked only his 79th birthday. After suffering from a kind of leukemia, and receiving three bone marrow transplants, Sagan died of pneumonia at the age of 62.  An astronomer, astrophysicist, cosmologist, author, science popularizer and science communicator in astronomy and natural sciences, he is sorely missed… no one has been able to take up where he left off!

The video opens with an image of the famous Flammarion engraving that I used in a recent embroidery project.  I blogged about that here.
