These images are made with Dumpr, a free computer app that includes among other intriguing options “Amazing Circles”. It drags the periphery of an image to the center, and then swirls everything to a blur. Amazing! These are made from some of the pictures I used in the collage for Roots and Wings last week. (Do you recognize the melting pencils at top left, or the stacked threads in the center?)

The computer is my principal amusement, sharing time with my sewing tools and projects, and the ever- present reading and journaling projects. Now that the spring weather is so beautiful, morning walks and gardening will be added to this. My guild quilt show is in early June, and my embroidery guild is hosting both its annual open house and the biennial conference of all Ontario embroidery guilds. But I intend to blog along, trying to keep thing of general interest, trying not to get too bogged down in the practical details… impatients or marigolds? chain link or panels? maple or oak?

Dumpr! Try it…here is the link… the images above are from Amazing Circles. The best photo-to-sketch link is on a separate page (it deletes the annoying artist at work component on the other menu).

Enjoy! And let us know what you think!
